My vin is indicating that my charger is a 1974, but I am finding that dark blue 07 did not come in the 1974s, but did in 1973. Could my car be a 73? Also, it has loop carpet and looks like cut pile came in the 74s. Confused, any help appreciated!!

I am wanting to replace the carpet and seats in my 74 Charger. I have the build sheet and don’t really know what to look at. Would trim code be the interior color? The trim code on mine is D6 B6. Or the carpet code is 20 B7 00. Attached are the 2 codes. Just need seat color and carpet color...

Ended up being a bad “new alternator”

So I bypassed the amp meter, and still no charge... I’m at a loss of what to do now

Appreciate the advice! I am about to go test all of this. I was also told the ammeters can go bad in these causing the battery not to charge. Can I just bypass the ammeter? Or should I change to a voltmeter?

Yes, it started and it still runs good. Just does not charge the battery. So we put a new alternator in, and a new voltage regulator (the old one was melted on the back so I think that one was defiantly bad). No change with the new parts.

Does anyone know where the fusable links/link are located?

How do you know if the fusible link is bad? I took the fusible link that runs from the Ignition Starter relay to the fuse box off to see if it was damaged, but it just looked normal to me. The Ignition starter relay is the first thing the power goes to from the battery, so that's why I checked...

How exactly do I check the voltage on those wires? I do have a multi-tester, I just don't know how to check the voltage on each wire.
