WTB 7260 10 spline yoke for 741 ring & pinion

Building up a new 3rd member and was counting on a yoke from the local trans place. They neglected to mention that all they had were the higher spline count yoke, so here I am. Let me know, thanks.

    The End of Manual Transmission

So who is building an unbreakable overdrive manual trans that can be married to (mostly) any motor by changing bell housings? You may be ahead of the game, don't know! Same trans with transfer case for any 4wd? I'll invest!

    A727 Torqueflite Shift Points?

Here's the update- finally got around to adding a return spring to the kickdown lever. Didn't realize that that there was about 1-1/2" of travel to the front of the trans that doesn't get taken up without a spring. Fired it up and drove it, and surprise! It shifted at the expected rpm's...

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

My mistake, I meant the dipstick TUBE. Couldn't get it to go in the last 1/4".

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

Stock dipstick that wouldn't go in the last 1/4". 6qt. pan and matching pickup, so if the oil is to the full line, it's probably a little OVER full.

    A727 Torqueflite Shift Points?

My valve body has a Transgo TF2 shift kit installed, with the appropriate holes drilled. Second one I've done, and first time I've had any issues. I set up the cables in a number of different configurations, and still shifting late into 3rd, and only when I let off the accellerator. I'd be happy...

    A727 Torqueflite Shift Points?

I have a brand new rebuilt 727 with the exact same 2-3 shift issues. 1-2 shifts as expected, 2-3 shifts late and only when Iet off the accelerator. Also using a cable setup for kickdown. Waiting to hear the fix for this one!!

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

Yep, only lost pressure once. I did polish the valve, but it didn't really need it. I just got done driving it around. 35lb. at idle 75lb. running. Guess I'll just watch it close from now on. No idea what happened, but I know I'm guessing it sucked air somehow.

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

Well, I did the oil change this morning with a new filter, stuck the priming rod down there and spun it. Took about 5-10 seconds and was making 75lbs. of pressure. I can't figure it out. Is it possible that when I leaned on the brakes the oil sloshed forward and the pickup sucked air? I have no...

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

I hate this idea, but that is something I never considered. Thanks!

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

Ok, so I pulled the valve covers. Both sides- all rockers and pushrods tight and in place, no evidence of puking out a lifter. Next, I decided to pull the oil pump because it was too tight to get to the relief valve nut anyway. After I got the pump out and removed the relief spring nut, I...

75 lbs. oil pressure to ZERO in 10 seconds. WTF?

That sucks right there! Agreed, and that does suck about your buddy. My motor never missed a beat, and no noise either. I stuck the priming rod down there, and spun it with no resistance. Also couldn't see any oil move in the oil line to the gauge. I think the problems down in the bottom, and...
