    Summit (Holley 4011) carb draining

Thats the thing is there is no visible signs externally but the car acts as if its flooded when I start it and it smokes really bad. Not to mention, the oil now smells of fuel and needs to be changed. If I take the carb off and let it sit on the bench overnight, it won't leak a drop and the...

    Summit (Holley 4011) carb draining

Its the old Holley 4011 design. They stopped using it and turned over the design to summit. its all Holley parts and tuning kits. Ive changed the PV twice and its the same thing. What's strange is it will drain the primary completely empty in about 3 hours after parking the car but it I take...

    Summit (Holley 4011) carb draining

Ok it’s a brand new carb with presumably brand new needle and seat but I have an unopened Holley trick kit with new ones in that so I will at least give that a try and see what happens but here's what's weird. I started the car, checked the float bowl and it was halfway full. Ran car for 2...

    Summit (Holley 4011) carb draining

So if I fill the bowls and let it sit overnight on the bench, it DOESNT leak but if I put it on the car and run it and then let it sit, it empties the primary bowl and when I go to start the car it’s flooded and when it fires up, it’s so rich it’s pouring black smoke out the exhaust til it clears up

    Summit (Holley 4011) carb draining

Hey guys. After converting my 65 Satty to a 4spd I wanted to go with a 750 double pumper and swap out the 750 vac secondary that I had. I ended up getting this summit racing 750. Was told it was a rebranded Holley 4011 from back in the day. Well after swapping out power valves and jetting to my...

    Power Valve question

It’s def got a second PV. I was gonna order the Holley 750 from Summit but it was a week or so out so they suggested their Summit brand that is built by Holley but branded for them. It’s all Holley parts, only diff is instead of having the side bowls come off, the whole top of the carb comes...

    Power Valve question

I’ve never had a carb with both power valves. The new carb has a 9.5 and 6.5 from the factory but those are both too big. I know I need a 4.5 in the front but wasn’t sure how to set the rear because I’ve never had to

    Power Valve question

I know this is a very old post but wanted to ask about the second power valve on the secondaries. Ive never had a carb with both of them, I've only had them in the primary and there wasn't even a spot for one in the secondary. My new double pumper 750 has both front and rear. If my car is...

    Determining cam size

Hey all. My 440 has been built by a previous person who is no longer around. I have no docs on it other than what I’m “told” about it. Most of the info seems to check out. How do I find out the cam that’s in it? It sounds like a solid cam cause it’s got the “sewing machine” sound. I want to...

    Modern seats

I finally got my SRT seats mounted. I had to fabricate custom mounting brackets but the best part about these is the two front bolts lined up with the factory mounting holes in the car. Just need to run a power lead to power the seats.
