Who knows? Maybe they had them dialled in better by 1970. Or it could just be a matter of adjusting the glove box door. Either way, not too serious.
Here’s mine. Quite different.
Agreed. Changing plugs on a 440 is a real cunt. Sure I might slam things or even shout the “c” word once or twice but it’s all worth it in the end. Calm down, you psycho.
When I bought my car it came with a bunch of parts. One being the rear window interior trim brand new in the TrimParts box. Yesterday I painted them an off white and today I was excited to install them. But something wasn’t right. They didn’t fit worth a shit. And then I got thinking….. could it...
Someday it would be great to restore the entire car but I’ll have to tinker for the time being. And I just got back from a cruise with my wife and son and the gauges just started working again about mid cruise. I guess I’ll just keep an eye on it and when it happens again I’ll get into it.
I’m not trying to beat this topic to death but I too am having issues with the fuel and temp gauges. I haven’t read anything thus far that gives a reason why these two gauges have interconnected trouble. The oil pressure never did work that well but I have an aftermarket one under the dash...

I decided to stop trying to be so creative and just use stock size bolts and factory bushings. I don’t want my car to turn into something “Roadkilly”. The 1/2” bolt was a bit loose in the holes but once I cranked the lock nut on there it doesn’t seem to rattle around at all. And these blue...
I appreciate the honesty. I’m starting to feel defeated though. I think I’ll try knocking the sleeves out of the bushings, and squeeze a slightly bigger one in them, even if I have to drill the rubber to make the sleeve fit. Whoever modified the car before royally screwed me over haha.
