Preach on brother!
I just had to rebuild my 4 speed, due to ripping the teeth off 4th gear. Too many poor/missed shifts.
Root cause was the shifter mount loosening up over time. Mount holes got oblonged. I beefed it up and switched to studs for fasteners.
More progress yesterday.
I installed a new steering box and rebuilt the column, so now I can steer the car.
Backed off the preload I had on the Caltracs, set them to .03 gap left and .06 gap right.
2 more clicks tighter on rebound on rear shocks.
Then dropped my starting line rpm from 4500 to...
I got the new 20:1 box from PST, along with a new adapter.
Also got the plunge joint kit from Rock Auto.
Made a replacement for the rag joint out of steel.
Got it all installed Saturday. The new box and adapter fit together nice and tight.
Tested on road and track. Steering is vastly improved.

I don't think anything like that would work, idiocy has no limits.
I do load and unload my car with open headers, so I try to be tolerant of others, but there have to be limits. That's one of the reasons I got an enclosed trailer, so I don't have to do...
