Need to pull the front apart on my 440.

Fran, the engine did set for 5 days. I know like you guys I would expect a little more oil on things. One plus I did take my hand and wipe the bottom of the crank gear/chain area and had oil on it. So that's a plus. After 4 yrs the whole engine , tops of heads , inside valve covers, ect are...

Need to pull the front apart on my 440.

Yes that is looking dry on the gears and cover. Thanks Don & Fran. Its pumping plenty up to the rockers and top end. Last time running we looked at the gauge at temp, 35lbs idle and 65 when you give it some rpm. What would cut flow down to the chain, and gears? Slinger is on it and ok.

How much rear main seal oil loss is considered normal for our cars?

If it's making a mess under the car you know it needs fixed. Couple spots on the floor after a drive and sitting, that comes down to what your willing to put up with. Hell I drip a couple drops myself but I'm not calling my urologist. I dont really like him that much.

    67 Coronet 440 Transmission/Console ?

Take a look under the car at the shifter side of the trans. Many tail shafts have both a B and E mounting points. If you have 2 mount points and are currently using the rear most one you can correct your shifter position. You would have to purchase B body shift arms/ levers and move to the...

3.23 or 3.55, this is the question

A decent condition well tuned RB should have no problem doing a off idle burn out with 2.94s and sure grip. I run 3.23s in my 67 but did have a set of 2.94s in it a one time. Like posted, tire dia plays a part along with a well tuned distributor and carb.
