I run a holley hp 150 on both my cars. One on the dart is 10 years old now and still working. I did have trouble with the first one I put on the runner last year and had to send it back. 2nd one is working good.
i disagree, I think the builder missed the mark for the intended use of the engine. It's a street motor with a street cam. That cam is a low rpm piece in a 500ci in motor. With the big heads I think the best way to get some low rpm tractability back is a different intake. That's making the best...
Sounds like your combo is a bit off. If it were mine I would switch to the Indy dual plane if it's a mw port. If it is standard port I would go with a smaller plenum single plane or an edelbrock rpm dual plane. The Indy single plane is a max performance piece and doesn't compliment that cam...
I agree with the cam, I was thinking that last night. The cam is better suited for a mild 440 instead of a Indy headed stroker. It'll have good manners though, be like a stock cam in a 500in motor.. Lol
A good ole 850dp with the 1.56 Venturi would surely do the job. A 950 proform, or new hp carb would work well. I built a 1050an carb from a 850 street series proform a few months back. Runs real well on my 511, I had to dial back the amount of fuel it was getting through the transfer slots...
Wedge motors are easier to work on, less finicky. I noticed the lash gets off on the hemi it'll slow right down. Wedge's aren't as bothered by that kind of stuff. Like mentiond above hemi's like a steady diet of spark plugs also. Hemi is a great motor for someone who likes to constantly tinker...
ive seen a lot of broken LY rods. its one thing if you know they came out of grampa's imperial that never seen over 4000rpm before you use them . but, you have a set of 45 year old rods in there that you have absolultly no history on. they very well could be at the end of their life cycle. it...
no offense to the op. the guy posting the add is very well aware he has a satellite, he's playing the gtx card hoping some one who knows nothing about mopars will jump on his car. from those pics its obviously a satellite, bet if you pull the door panels you'll see where they filled in the side...
negative, GTX only came with a 440 or a hemi (440 standard, hemi was the option). being a satellite its probably got the delux interior which looks just like a gtx. other than that, your missing all the HD suspension, sway bar, big brakes, yadayadayda. and it would be missing the RS vin. a big...
looks nice! great job running the harness through the seat!! not sure i would like to have to swing the bars in and out though every time i got in or out of the car. but i guess thats the point of the swing out bars..
i just omitted the armrests on my dart. didn't figure they were all that...
i have a set on my dart and plan on putting a set on my dads 70RR. i ordered mine right from calvert. used their spings and shocks also. the thing that nobody ever mentions is you need to beef up your spring perches, if you have a decent powered car you will bend them, i found out the hard way...
