Clip on heater fan housing — what is it for?

I have not tried to squeeze it in, worth a try, like the idea of spreading the clip.

Clip on heater fan housing — what is it for?

I can’t see a reason for it. Perhaps it will have to remain a mystery……….

Clip on heater fan housing — what is it for?

That was my initial thought but the braided protective sleeve over the wiring is two or three times as large as the clip there’s no way it would fit in the clip. Unless the clip was meant for wires only but it has sharp edges on it just doesn’t seem like a great idea if it’s simply holding two...

Clip on heater fan housing — what is it for?

Does anyone know what the clip in middle of this photo is for? It is on the heater blower housing on my ‘62 Plymouth Savoy — non A/C car. Thanks!

    62 Only

Yes, the basics are all checked out. I did not try to shift it manually I will try that to see if it acts the same. I do have a factory service manual and I would not be removing the trans for rebuild. I live in Troy but generically identified it as the Detroit area. Thanks so much for your...

    62 Only

Who doesn’t love this thread! My ‘62 Savoy was purchased new by my grandmother came off the assembly line in December 1961 I believe. After being passed around the family came to me 44 years ago somewhat beat up from being a daily driver she didn’t get much TLC. I’ve got it back in good running...

    727 rebuild in Detroit area

My ‘62 Savoy with a 318 and 727 is in need of a trans rebuild. It’s not terrible yet but I plan to drive the car cross country in the spring. It often is stuck in first gear and recently has a slow shift to third gear but after 60 years and 106,000 miles I’m OK with spending a little money to...

    Vendor list

Hi all, shortly after I joined the forum somebody was kind enough to send me a list of “preferred“ vendors, specializing in all sorts of parts, services and areas of B bodies. I printed the list and now I can’t find it! Does anyone know what I mean or can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

    Shoulder belts

69plywagon - I finally installed my Wesco shoulder harnesses, 5 hours to install passenger side, 2 hours for drivers side (learning curve:) B pillars are very narrow on the 4 door, had to trim the backing plate to 7/8” but got it to fit. Found weld nuts, installed retractor using weld nut and an...

    Shoulder belts

Thanks 69plywgn the pics are helpful, I will check for the weldnut locations. I previously put lap belts in the backseats, there aren’t any weld nuts so I drilled holes on either side of the tunnel and used stainless bolts and fender washers. Hope my weldnuts for the front seat are in good shape...

    Shoulder belts

Thanks 69plywgn, I checked out the Wesco website, glad to hear that it worked on your 1962 wagon, so no reason it shouldn’t work on my Savoy. You offered to send a picture or two, that would be a great, should give me a better idea regarding location. Thanks for your offer of help, if I get...

    Shoulder belts

Thanks Darter6, shoulder harnesses are available for 1964 and on B bodies. I’m wondering if they have a wider center post than the 62, allowing room for the shoulder harness? I will check into the measurements. Thanks for responding.

Electronic voltage regulator — which one ?

Threewood, I used the one that you recommended from the guy on eBay. It’s the best $16 I ever spent on the car. Thanks again!
