The Meme not a Meme Thread Part DEUX

Come on. You know there is a little truth in that?

The Meme not a Meme Thread Part DEUX

The same dream. I find a hidden room behind a basement wall. I open. Then I cry and awake. (Or is it wake then cry?)

Was your dad a gear head or no?

Nice post question. Next is "Why Mopar?"

Was your dad a gear head or no?

Ain't that the truth. I have 4 kids who have little interests. Sure they will help. But I have to beg to get even one for some seat time. If my dad had muscle era cars that needed some road time? I would still be living in his basement.

Was your dad a gear head or no?

My dad was a musician. A piano man. And was not mechanical. He hated my muscle cars of my youth. (At the time was the only cars I could afford.) Who knew? He liked his cars HUGE. Cads, big buicks. If it wasn't the size of an aircraft carrier? It wasn't an automobile to him. He called my cars...

What have you broken while out hot rodding your car?

My last go at test & tune. Rebuilt 451 with now B1/BS heads. Spinning at about 12.7:1 compression vs 10.25:1 pump gas setup ported 452 heads. Rear 8 3/4 spooled 4.56:1 gear with Moser 35 spline axles. New 30x10.5" Hossier slicks. Goal to see if Duster can nip under the 10 sec barrier. What I...

What have you broken while out hot rodding your car?

Motor mounts, one clutch explosion. (That was messy, a chunk of disk hit the ground thru splash guard and cracked oil pan. Messier than actual damage.) Crunched a 10 bolt rear in GTO. But no engine grenading that I remembered. Slow wear down? Oh yeah.

What did you do to your Mopar today?

Ewwww. The "Loan out" My "Buddy's" are worse than my boys. They don't get lower garage tools. But yet somehow it still happens.

What did you do to your Mopar today?

Toolbox maintenance. Having multiple garage it's easy to get tools sperated. So once a year (around this time.) It's "Tool roundup." And of course there are always some missing. Especially if you raised boys. I have two primary sets. The Craftsman is for daily use cars and large box up in...

Meteorologists Call For Rain Showers This Weekend And A Slight Chance Of Getting Crushed By A Falling Boeing Airliner Part

Boeing is certainly taking a beating. Not sure it's manufacturing or design issues. But when it say 7X7 on the side? But long term there maybe opportunities in their stock. It's a blue chip that is currently down.

How to make a better home cooked hamburger ?

I agree not to use too lean for burgers. Especially on the grill. Let the grilling do some of the work. Lol. Leave the lean stuff for like chillies or gumbo.

Wendy’s planning Uber-style ‘surge pricing’ where burger prices fluctuate based on demand

This is not a WOKE or MAGA thing. It's dynamic capitalism. I'm surprised it's not practiced more in retail. Some retail like gasoline cannot because of regulations. But most is not forbidden. Not only we live in a smaller world. But much faster. There is some logic, but not sure the consumer...

    Death of electric vehicles

That was before shale fracking. This oil is not the sweet crude of yesterday. But with some additional refining steps it is viable. If price per barrel is above (I believe ) $50 a barrel.

    Death of electric vehicles

Any stored energy has the potential of being dangerous. If enough to push a car. Certainly enough to cause harm. Even the next gen lithium that doesn't react suddenly across its circuits still has risks. It wouldn't surprise me if Hydrogen fuel cells wins the near future of EV technology. This...

    Death of electric vehicles

And how many have burned to death in gas cars? Gasoline is combustible. That's what makes internal combustion engines work. I would use a different argument. Like the technology and infrastructure to support charging is just not adequate? That's a real metric.
