Painting engine bay..single stage or 2 stage paint

It will be fine on the door jambs also. You can still blend the outer surface paint into it as long as you use hardner in the single stage. I like the looks of the single stage on these vehicles for the fact its what was used from the factory. Clear coat looks too glossy imo. There are a few...

Painting engine bay..single stage or 2 stage paint

Black. (Just kidding) I went with single stage with hardner. When painting the rest of the car later there won't be any reaction if you use BCCC. I like the single stage for nick and chip resistance. A little softer.

What Die Grinder bit to use. Need to enlarge antenna hole in fender

When you say Greenlee I think of these knock-outs. Thing is you have to be able to get to the opposite side.

What Die Grinder bit to use. Need to enlarge antenna hole in fender

Stop by your local Lowe's and get a sanding mandrel. As mentioned above tape the area incase of a slip.

I'm going to be removing my old race car MAXIMVS graphics...

    1) A good artist/paint/body person might be able to wet sand the clear coat just down to the artwork and reapply new clear coat. 2) You could have a graphics place copy the artwork and reapply them in vinyl. 3) A good airbrush artist could copy them before you have to remove them.

    Maguires # 7 and #26 wax results

I always liked Maguires products. The only one I didn't like was their "Hand Polish". Has a green tint to it. It looks good when you're done with it but the oil that's in it will dry out over time and you're right back to a dull finish. I like to finish with the "Cleaner Wax". It doesn't have...

    Cleaner/wax

They used to have a "Hand Polish", don't know if it's the same. It had a greenish tint to it. It would replenish the paint with a oil but after awhile it would dry out and the dullness would come back. Kind of like that New Finish product. You could smell the kerosene in that stuff.

    Cleaner/wax

Mequiars makes a great product for what ever you need. I'd try the Swirl Remover or the Fine Cut if the first doesn't work. They have a Cleaner Wax but it might not be aggressive enough. Using a machine has the best results but a lot of their cleaning products can be used by hand. Dont buy the...

Mechanical Paint Removal In Detailed Area’s

You'll have to experiment with it. Might depend on what was used for paint previously. Repainted with an epoxy paint with hardner might not desolve as quick. Some factory, baked on paints will be a little stubborn to desolve. Just keep the saturated rag on the area longer. If lacquer thinner...

Mechanical Paint Removal In Detailed Area’s

Rag soaked in lacquer thinner. Leave it set on those areas for awhile until it starts to work.
