I'll disagree with this. I'm using one on my 440 and it will blow the hat off of you head working under the hood. In hot weather, slow traffic, it's never gone over 190* with a 180* T-stat
If a radio was ordered from the factory, the factory supplied the hole. If ordered at the dealer the hole was drilled there. They supplied a template to mark the hole. Same as luggage racks. I installed many of both at the dealer.
