Throttle cable bracket question, '72 Satellite, LA 360 4bbl

Just showing a picture where the adapter bracket for an Edelbrock goes and which location the end of the cable should be. This is a rear carb on a 2x4 setup but the throttle should be the same.

If the video was any longer I was going to break out the Dramamine. :realcrazy: The vid has only been out for 3 hours. We'll have to wait and see if he posts another one showing the engine and more details. Looks like a nice find. He's already catching it in his comments.

    Exhaust Manifold Headaches

Look at the mating surface on the head. I was installing Doug's headers on a set of 452 heads and noticed a ridge. I had to grind (taper) the flange on the headers to compensate. (Just throwing this out there)

Clinking sound coming from middle of engine

A little history on your engine? Which cam? How many miles? What oil have you been using? The cam, more than likely, has been compromised by the look of those lifters.

New carpet and trouble mounting seats.

I used a scratch awe up from the bottom then while it's still there use a soldering iron from the top to burn/melt a perfect hole. Makes finding the holes easier when placing the seat and the carpet won't frazzle in the future.

Removal of Headlight and wiper switches?

My '62 has the same switch with the release button. Push in on the button before pulling on the knob. I'm thinking it works better when you have the knob in the "interior light" position. Of course disconnect the battery before removing switches.
