    Sometime you can get air bubbles trapped in the calipers. And old fix is to tap the calipers with the bleeder open to force any bubbles to the top.

    Standard coil assists are for try to keep the car level under load if that is what you are looking to do. Be careful of overloading the upper shock mount. If you want to raise the vehicle, spring replacement is the proper way.

    You want to use a thick washer and preferably a grade 8. Looks like a thin washer in your pic. You are putting the load on a very small surface with the thin one which could lead to premature wear.
