    Bent Spindle\Strut Rod?

Again, really? How in the heck do they get bent (besides a crash)? What symptoms would you notice if you bent a strut rod?

    Bent Spindle\Strut Rod?

Really? I had no idea. What in the heck causes them to bend besides smacking into something like driving over a concrete parking stop???

    Bent Spindle\Strut Rod?

Well, I've got a few general thoughts & I'm not sure if these help. body/suspension - if the car was raced with any major horsepower, you might want to check that the chasis itself isn't twisted (do you have any "ripples" in the passenger rear quarter panels or C-panel area?). Strut Rod - I've...

Brilliant idea as long as the bottom half of the building is built to hold the extra weight on the 2nd floor (+ cars, etc.)

    Recommendation Garage Floor Epoxy/Paint

Here's my 2-cents plus a nickel on all this. 1. Epoxies are the most chemically resistant coating in general. Amine-cured (part B) ones are slightly better, but they set up very fast (45-60 min?) The Polyamide-cured (part B) can be rolled on, dry slower & easier to work with. 2. Epoxies...

any body tried the tiger wrench

I don't like "universal tools" in general, but it might have it's place. Maybe your wife's tool box, in your bicycle repair kit like 68gtx said, or anywhere you can't carry much size/weight. Tiger wrench, universal screwdriver & a pair of vise grips......done....full tool set.

Has anyone purchased a new gas can lately?

Yes, I've bought several. The loaded spring cans are much safer if it's full of gas & tips over in your trunk. If you have a newer car designed for unleaded gas, then the spring-spout will allow you to put gas in the car without spilling any, no matter how full it is. The spring slides back...

    Alternator tool

No need for the tool. I just pull the alternator until the belt is snug with one hand & tighten the "adjuster bolt in the slotted hole" using a socket wrench with the other hand. Then I tighten all the alternator bolts. Lastly, I push with "medium force" on the belt & look for about 1"...

    Car takes forever to start

My first guess is that you got a bad load of 89-octane gas. I'd guess that mid-grade sits in the ground longer (sold the least vs. "regular" and "premium"). My second guess, especially since you say it smells rich, is that your plug wire (or another one) is only on there maybe 1/2-way. Third...

    Small Paint Booth?

You're right about the explosion hazard. If the fan plugs in, it may go "boom" (with you in the booth). Also, you really need supplied air since even organic vapor respirators aren't enough inside even a homemade booth. If you can figure this out, I'd like to build one too. I have seen (not...
