807 hp hemi swap in a convertible

But your 4 door has a roof. Yes, you can race a convertible, with a full roll cage.... a 6-point bar is required at 13.49 sec.

807 hp hemi swap in a convertible

You are correct that high horsepower in a convertible will twist the car. You have the right idea

Transmission cooler lines - what are you using?

I've never done that swap, but (don't mean to be rude) "whatever fitting fits the holes". Factory original transmission lines are metal tubing...maybe 1/4" or 5/16" (not sure) that you can buy in large 5' long pieces at any auto parts store. You can also get rolls of tubing (20' or 25') at...

What radiator are you using for your swap?

The Champion 4-row I'm using didn't fit just right, but I re-drilled some holes and lowered it about 1" and it's fine. It cools pretty well for an inexpensive radiator. Net Out 440 vs Hemi in 68 Charger

Sort of. The heads are completely different and that's where you'd have a much easier time hitting the 800hp mark (with the Hemi heads), but you're only looking for 500hp. If you have an original Hemi car, then the extra $12k is worth it if you plan to sell the car. Otherwise, for 500hp, go 440.

Net Out 440 vs Hemi in 68 Charger

Hemi's cost more because they're Hemi's. In my opinion, there is A LOT more horsepower to be had with a Hemi, but if your goal is 500hp, then the 440 is much cheaper. There are only a few items that you'd need to change to drop in a 426-type Hemi vs. a 440. All I can think of off the top of...

1st class HellCat crate motor swap into a 69 Coronet

If anybody has an "extra" Hellcat motor/trans/wiring laying around they don't want, I'd be happy to swap my 440+6 engine for it. I'm into "fast", not "stock". That car looks awesome to me! I do agree that it's better to put it into a Coronet than a real Super Bee though.

    66 coronet swap question

There are TONS of threads on this and I know very little about the swap, but I've heard that the A727 transmission is much easier to use (but no overdrive)
