68 vs 69 Sat convertible. interior swaps

For Satelite/Road Runner convertibles, the front seat everything is the same as hardtops/coupes....seats, door panels, consoles...all the same. In the rear seat area, the rear seat is about 1ft. narrower (rear seat covers different than hardtop/coupe) and the rear interior panels are unique to...

68-70 Convertible Rear Interior Panel Screws

I'm not sure what was original, but they screw right into the plastic of the rear/side interior panels, no nuts or anything

    70 RR Horn Pad

You should get a free online factory service manual. It will help a lot. 1. Those two horn pads are the same I believe, just one has the horn ring separated (?), so either one is correct. 2. The horn pad attaches to the horn button (you have 2 in your picture). 3. The horn button attaches to...

70 Roadrunner plastic plugs in top of door by hinges

My 70 RR white interior car came with white plugs. I "think" aftermarket ones are only black, so you'd have to use interior paint, but double check that.

    Hurst Pistol Handle

My 70 has the opposite problem in 1st/3rd. It can be a sloppy shifter linkage...but there is enough play in the console & lid attachment points you can scoot the console back a 1/2" without too much trouble. Check the other stuff mentioned above first though

    70 convertible

No L brackets on a 70 b-body convertible. The side panels have a large "ear" that fits inside the metal back panel on both sides & 1 or 2 screws (I'd have to look) going down from on top of the metal back panel down into the plastic of the rear side panels.

    Convertable driver side window needed

Post an add here in the forums "parts wanted 70 and older" (or whatever it says). I think I also some clear convertible glass on Ebay recently, so maybe look there too. I'm not sure, but I "suspect" that Dodge & Plymouth B-body convertible door glass is the same (???)

    Convertable driver side window needed

On this website. Do you have tinted glass or clear glass? (it matters)

    1970 GTX rear defroster install

First, I will say I'm not sure.... so take this with a grain of salt. For a 70 GTX, I think the rear defrost on/off switch is exactly the same as a 70 convertible top switch with the toggle installed backwards. Those toggles say "top" (?) on one side and "defog" (?) on the other side. I also...

Hey Mo, which side do you need?

    Leaking convertible

I've used Top Cat seals with good luck. As mentioned, you might want to slightly adjust the alignment (BUT, definitely start with new seals and adjust the windows if necessary. Also, clear out any debris from the drain holes at the bottom of the doors AND the rear quarter panels. As a...

1970 roadrunner console light fasteners ?

I don't know about the "correct" part, but you could use universal clips from your local parts store (they're not visible)

    console door hinge installation

I haven't done mine yet....but I had planned to 1. install with screws slightly snug 2. close door (hopefully) 3. adjust 4. repeat

Moving bolts on seat tracks, 70 Charger?

I "think" there might be a tack weld on those bolts.

70 Road Runner AM 8 track stereo research

FYI that same hole is used for the top up/down on convertibles (which don't have rear window defogger option)

Anyone know where I can get these?

I can't see the picture...but I think you're looking for a "speed nut" which you can get at most part stores, sometimes in variety packs.

1968 satellite convertible rear side panel interchange

Rectangular like 69-70???? I've been wrong before, but I thought the 68's were round.

1968 satellite convertible rear side panel interchange

I would recommend you repair yours. I've had good luck laying fiberglass/glass mat from behind & filling it in with bondo. Then just sand & paint with interior paint.

1968 satellite convertible rear side panel interchange

Well, I have to disagree a little bit with the information above. I think you need '68-only b-body convertible rear interior panels. The '69-'70 b-body convertible rear interior panels will "physically fit", but 69-70 have small rectangular holes for the courtesy lights & 68 has those fancy...

    6 position seat

I believe 440+6 is correct. I have a 69 6-way seat frame (fyi-I'd swap it for a '70 if anyone has one) & there is a straight metal wire/spring as described. I think your cable idea would work, but I believe it goes "straight across" and not through the loop in the back of the frame....so it...
