Do you mean the slapstick does not have enough stroke from P to 1st so, the leverage is not there? That is confusing as everything below P should also be affected by the incorrect leverage ratio.

Under what theory does this new by-pass operate? I take it your regulator only has one inlet and outlet? Does the by-passed fuel return to the tank? Is this to avoid overheating the fuel? Do you have a gauge before and after the regulator? There, that's enough questions!

Open the handle and note the screw! The panel is held on with spring clips. Use a putty knife to gently pry the panel away from the door itself. If you feel around with the putty knife you can tell where the clips are located/spaced apart. Try to pry right next to the clips so the door card is...
