    Dynamat or ?

The X-Mat I initialy purchased was asphalt based and would run out in a vertical installation. After I discovered the problem I called Eastwood and found out they recalled all the original product. I had mine in the original boxes for 8-10 years before using it. Eastwood replaced the defective...

I used Eastwoods X-Mat. My first install. No problems. Mike

    Headliner insulation?

My upholstery guy uses closed cell foam sheet for his headliner installs. Insulation helps slow the solar gain in your vehicle. It is getting hotter each summer. Mike

    Headliner insulation?

Just install the mat between the support braces. Mike

    Need Small Edge Guard

You may need a jig to slit tubing "straight" but, it's easily doable. I use tubing for grommets and weather strip adhesive to secure it. Mike

    Speedometer play = normal?

I spent $250 to get my 65 speedo rebuilt. Is that pricey? I wonder what my rebuilt knee cost. Mike

    Speedometer play = normal?

Sounds like you have found all the problems. Be careful with cleaning solvent, I took off the odometer numbers on my 65 speedo with brake cleaner. Lube that cable with a light grease. A little research should find a product recommended for such use. Mike

Has anyone built a dashboard assembly stand?

I used one of the 3 fender stands I built. My hood is on another one. Mike

    Fire wall insulation

Sure, you could also use small plastic plugs (hardware store), or cut small circles of black electrical tape and stick them on larger pieces, sticky sides together, which you place over the inside of the holes. Mike

    64 Fury Wiper pivot mount

Jim Kramer probably still sells the correct patch panels to repair that issue, although I cut the top panel to use the OEM wiper penetration area as it wasn't quite the same. Probably the only option. Mike

Floor pan insulation and sound deadening

I used Eastwood's product. Seemed fine but, my first time trying to make a car quieter! I did add exhaust cut outs though, for special occasions! Mike

B-body Front Upper Inside Header Panel Trim Clips

I flattened out the "prongs" and drilled a 3/16" hole in the center of the clip, installed rivet nuts in the square clip receiver hole (drilled to size), used 10-32 round head screws to retain the clips. Worked great. Mike

rear package tray with speaker cutouts

I would recommend 1/8" tempered masonite for a package tray. I purchased a "supposed to be" reproduction tray for my 65 Coronet and it was a piece of masonite, rough side up, painted my interiors shade of blue. No aluminum foil on the bottom and a vinyl "hinge" to attach the vertical piece...

Door Seal too thick, door VERY hard to close.

A common problem with the early "B"s. Best solution is to replace the windlace with a thinner product. Did you check with Joe Suchy? Mike

    66 B-body Sun Visors

I think you should be able to find the center hole with your fingers and then use a pin to locate the screw holes. Mike

    Can i save this seat?

My folks bought me a leather jacket for HS graduation (brother got a new 69 Dart GT for his) and it was quite crispy after 50+ years. I found Pecards Leather Dressing online and I'm really impressed with the results after using it. Now it's on all my leather goods. Mike
