440 blown intake valley pan cause?

How about a picture? A crankcase explosion would have bulged everywhere not a single hole such as you have. Did something break and cause said hole? Mike

    The 62 is alive

Sounds good to me Doug! I would imagine you have the jetting dialed in which really does make the engine sound milder. Sort of like fuel injection and improved ignition systems do. Keep us in the 62 and 64 loops! Mike

    The 62 is alive

My education started at 15. Rebuilt my first engine that summer. It was a one year old Ford 332 in a school bus. The driver gave it too much hell and it really was too small for the load. I'm sure cost to the school had something to do with the size engine. The next 2 years every Saturday it was...

You need to buy a rivet nut kit and thread inserts. One of my favorite tools. You will find all kinds of uses for insert nuts. Mike

    Idle issues

The high idle speed is causing fuel flow in the main circuits. Slow down the idle/fix the problem and the main circuit will stop flowing. Mike

best oil pan for INDY MAX 572 in a 66 B Body w/QA1 k Member Drag Week Style Build

CNC ported 440-1s. I also own a 66 Belvedere II with a 493. I have a Moroso accumulator mounted on the inside of the firewall (no heater) plumbed into the oil galley port on the back of the block. It lets me prelube the motor every time I fire it up and protects from any oil pressure loss. Mike

best oil pan for INDY MAX 572 in a 66 B Body w/QA1 k Member Drag Week Style Build

I'm using this one but, with the Alterkation setup. 540 Indy Max block. By the way my TTI 2 1/8 step headers required dents to clear the main cross bolts. Milodon 31580: Road Race Oil Pan Big Block Chrysler 383 / 426 / 440 - JEGS High Performance Mike

    Cal Trac issue?

The hanger does not affect the situation as the link is designed for the spring front eye to the center bolt distance. Mike

    Cal Trac issue?

Hi fellas, Just getting around to finishing the rear suspension on my 65 Belvedere and ran into a snag. It seems 65 Plymouths used a 21" front segment of the leaf spring. Well in 2012 Mancini sold me a complete Cal Trac set up with 22" front segment monoleafs and 18 1/2" links-these are supposed...

    Fuel cell plumbing.

The rollover port should have a ball check inside, can you poke a wire thru all/any of the connections? By "feed" are you referring to the outlet or the fill opening? Can't the builder ID the ports? Strange that a cell would have a top located fuel outlet. Mike

Similar topic-different machine. The SkiDoo snowmobile direct injected two stroke engines come with indexed plugs and OEM replacements are designed exactly like the factory plugs to provide the correct indexing. 850 cc makes 165 horsepower. Mike
