Clip on heater fan housing — what is it for?

More than likely to hold that wire in place. I'll go through my pics.

    Noisy heater valve

Should be a couple of threads on here about which hose goes where. Maybe even in a factory service manual. Good Luck!

    Noisy heater valve

First I've ever heard of this happening and I've been around cars for quite some time. I've never seen anyone post this problem on here either. If it was house plumbing I'd say it was air in the line. Like stated above double check the in and out direction.

    Interior heating problem !

Cable looks pretty rusty. You could pull it off the leaver and Zipp tie it in the closed position temporarily.

    Pressure in radiator

The Water Wetter causes a chemical reaction of sorts that creates the pressure. I experienced this with the Kool It product. It did seem to cause an etching effect on the casting and I noticed there isn't any rust in the cooling system. Looks like a good thing. After awhile it stopped doing...

    Mechanical Temperature gauge fluctuations

Pretty much where mine's located, no problems. Stock iron housing. Once in a great while the guage won't move from dead cold when the engine is up to temp. As soon as I start down the road it's where it should be. I don't have any heater hoses hooked up.

    Fabricated fan shroud

I didn't have access to a tig machine so I drew up what I needed and had a local shop fab mine for a little over $200. Here's the drawing for my 22" radiator.
