    Wheel Vintiques Series 63 issue

If the center hole doesn't fit over the center of the axle flange, gets stuck, then that might be your problem. If it does go on without any interference then the center of the wheel is probably bent. Send it back. Most won't take them back if they have been painted. I had a set of wheels made...

Rear steel wheel center cover identification help

You won't find a matching set of four caps with those wheels. You can find the newer wheels for the rear that uses the smaller cap like on the front. '66 on up. Or find the older wheels for the front and use the 10" caps. The rear wheels you have now might be an oddball just by a little that...

    Slash tire combo

I believe a ten inch wheel would be too wide. 7 1/2" is ideal for a 215 https://www.tiresandco.ca/tire-equivalence-advice.html

Where to get good 1/2 20 wheel studs and lug nuts

I had a hard time finding the right studs. I needed a 1/2 x 20 thread, .625 diameter knurl, 1/2" long knurl. I found a couple listed here and there but they weren't available. So I got the next best thing and machined them to size. Some of the studs fit tight, some went in tight but were...

Getting ready to order some tires....last minute thoughts ?

X10 on the Coopers. Just watch the date on them. I found mine to be three years old after having them mounted. No biggie I guess, it's just the thought.

    Early 60s B Body tire/wheels

    I should have bought 4 -1/4" backspace for the rears. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/taking-up-new-residence.114133/page-14#post-910762383 https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/taking-up-new-residence.114133/page-17#post-910768352

minimum tire to leaf spring clearance

When I was figuring tires, tread width, rims and backspace I didn't think about the bulge. That's wider than the tread width. Had to use 1/4" spacers

    Tire Rotation

Agree. I've seen the early radials separate when crossed. My friend has a 2019 Jeep Compass and she's still taking it back to the dealership she bought it from for service. They're only rotating her tires front to back and not crossing them.

    Cooper Cobra Tires??

I like my Coopers so far. I knew better and didn't check the dates on them before buying. Later I discovered that they were already three years old.

Balancing red line bias ply tires

When you have been doing car repair most of your life you know what looks right and wrong right off the bat. When you see that amount of weight on a rim you automatically know someone doesn't know what they are doing. If I would be balancing your wheel and tire for you and found that it...

Balancing red line bias ply tires

Red X's a flying on a wheel balancing thread! Just remember I was the first to say this was a joke! I had a shop install new tires on my Harley mainly because they had a tire sale. I took the wheels off myself and dropped them off. I wasn't about to leave my bike there. So I get...

Balancing red line bias ply tires

I've never seen that kind of weight on a rim before. Is this a joke? My advice is to find another tire shop and not a chain store. Use a shop that's been in business for a long time and only does tires. I bet you if you mount that wheel on your car and drive it over 25 mph it will shake the...
