I would call the car mid-century modern and the wires work on it.

50 year old alloy wheels are not safe, unless it's a parade car. Buy new and try not to look at them. Reading this thread, I learn that these wheels have a 5 spoke steel frame inside of the alloy. I would use them, but not in competition.

Won't be cheap if it can be done at all. I believe the wheels will have to be disassembled. Lot of labor if it is possible

On a '64, chrome reverse steel wheels, dog dish caps optional. If you are a hard driver, I have broken more than a few alloy wheels.
