4412’s make great center carbs

My 67 post was 3650 with a 440 and glass hood. Roadrunner is 3760 with alum headed big block. They’re not all that light unless you start stripping undercoating and putting them on a diet.

I usually hit it for a minute or so. You’re good to go if you have oil up top!

One put a pressure gauge on it, two you have to rotate the engine to line up the cam/cam bearing holes to get oil up top

If the tune was good and now it’s not something changed I wouldn’t be swapping bleeds as that’s not the issue. Have you verified the 02 sensor is good?

I always solid mount the drivers side, sometimes the passenger side as well if the engine has any power. 512 in my roadrunner is solid mounted, 99% street car. No I’ll effects.

I built the exact same combo for a friend, or there than the intake and carb. I’ll be curious for the dyno results.

You wanna try that set up on Your street car more power to you. It’s a **** setup period. Might go down the drag strip. All it’s doing is trying to compensate for the poor distribution on the intake. I’d concentrate on fixing the intake before I did that to any set of carbs I’ll rank that up...

plugging the kill bleeds is a horrid mod and should never be done. That’s from someone who does not understand the vacuum carbs and how they operate. And there’s no way the small center carb should have that jetting.

for the same reason we don’t all run .509 cams, stock stroke cranks, and 906 heads. Last I checked none of those are broke either but, if it’s gotta be explained then…

The 02 meter is a innovative LM2 https://innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm2.php. I couldn’t do 3/4 of the stuff I do without it. I also did a ton of work on my mechanical outboards. They have unadjustable idle circuits out of the box. I found them to be lean on my 511 so I added adjustable idle circuits and adjustable IAB’s as well. I run a 4412 as a center instead of the tiny stock carb.

Since everyone is showing six packs, here’s when I had the mechanical on my car. Been thinking about trying these carbs on a MW port modman for shits and giggles. I just like trying different stuff. Its all a learning experiment for me as I dive in and tune the living hell out of whatever I run...

I’ve spent a lot of time tuning on dominators. Mine are absolutely great on the street! I’d have no problem taking this one on 100+ mile cruise!

Gotta make sure it’s got enough fuel and timing. I discolored a few tubes on mine during cam break in. Turned them dull in spots.

I try to run them when I can, they keep the internals much cleaner.
