Good to be done with the sound deadener. What a pain in the @ss. Probably 50 pounds over the entire car. Roof, trunk, inside the doors, firewall, floor.
Popped the door mirror on so I could button up the moisture barrier on...
Had to ditch the driveshaft loop. Too bad. Nice piece but it wouldn't fit with TTi X Pipe. It was a "nice to have" not a "need to have". Just a bit of extra protection. I almost pole vaulted a car back in the day. Scary stuff. Maybe I'm just paranoid in my old age. This car will never see the...
Trigger much?
It doesn't matter what one says these days. There will always be someone who is offended regardless of what is expressed.
Life is tough, grow a backbone or get a helmet.
Lots of opportunity on this thread to be a smart @ss.
I'll let it pass. They all work. Go with what's best for you.
I personally like the picker plate.
Not a big fan of the redneck log chain method tearing up the fresh block paint.
My guess based on your response is that it was all intact and you tore into it anyway. Whatever. Glad you got it all out of there. Sounds like it will be a top notch resto.
Going the extra mile always pays off.

I agree with the above. Buy, rent, barrow a trailer and get it yourself. SC to MA sounds like a fun road trip to me.
I just recently road tripped from CO to AR with a buddy to pick up a new enclosed trailer...
AMD was making bumpers 50 years ago?
I think you're missing the point kent.
We are talking about the quality of the repop bumpers. I have originals as well, hence my statement.
Since you obviously have not had to purchase a repop bumper lately you really don't have a valid opinion.
I...
Who said anything about half ***? You never mentioned what kind of shape it was in to begin with. If it was all intact, you f@cked up by tearing into it. If it was just cracked, you could have skim coated, prep and painted as Elk says. If it was all chunked up and coming apart then you're doing...
Certainly much better than the Chinese are cranking out these days. Keep kidding yourself about acceptability. Not to mention the repops are not true triple chromed like the originals.
Let me know if you want some pics.
Is it a new engine?
My resent stroker pegged at ~80 PSI on start up on the dyno but settled down to 50 or so after warm up. Still does after a few warm ups.
My machinist / dyno guy said it is normal. Melling HV pump.
All after market bumpers have flaws. They can't compare to the old fashioned method of straightening and re-chroming the correct way. It used to cost $200 a bumper here in the US back in the "day" to have them re-done correctly.
The environmental activists have pretty much shut the old school...
