Pentastar emblem was discontinued after 71, it is uncommon to see them in 1972. Early car with SPD's in August maybe Sept. may have still gotten it.

Very nice car but doubtful it came that way from the factory. ALL 69 Gtx's came with Organisol black paint on lower body separated by molding that ran the length of the car. Looks like a previous owner liked the look of the 72 Satellite Sebring Plus paint scheme and copied it.
