I am trying to sort thru what the exact colors/finishes are for the jack assembly on a 1967 Plymouth GTX. Is what I have laid out here correct? And where would the lug wrench be stored?
And looking online came across this configuration that was stored with the spare tire....is this correct?
I want to make sure I am not missing something here.
Working on a 1967 GTX convertible and just got the new seals here in front of me. Does this seal simply install the way I have it in this area "as is"? Especially the top section where the trim and body and seal all come together.
I assume...

Ok so without that will have issues with the carpet edge. I dont think they make a reproduction of these? It looks like a flat piece of stainless basically. And this is not "convertible only"?
Im looking at some junk yard cars here and looks like I am missing these trim pieces that go in the back seat floor area. Does anyone know if these are visible once the interior is together? Does the seat cover this area? Is this to just to help hold down the carpet? Let me know...I think...
Just adding to this thread here. I have two sets of door glass here....one with the notch and one with the angled front top section on the glass. Is one or the other more correct for a 1967 GTX convertible? Did the convertibles maybe use a different door glass? Or is this a difference from...
Ok....I think I answered my own question here. This seal does actually fit in the channel, however you need to remove the rubber cap on the end to get it to slide in place. I dont see any other way to do this.
The way the seal is cut there is a straight cut on the one end and an angled cut...
I just ordered and received a pair of quarter glass seals from Classic Industries....but I dont see how these would fit. Not sure if I have the correct seals or whats exactly going on here.....has anyone ordered these or can give some clues on what I should be looking for? 1967 Plymouth GTX...
Jerry...yes....the windshield can be done later, but my thinking on this was related to the convertible top and frame. We are having the convertible top installed next month and in order to do that we need all the trim around the windshield installed so the convertible latches line up and...
Ok yes....I totally agree. The problem is that the instrument cluster bezel is out to get redone and we dont have it back yet. Not sure if everyone realizes it but they no longer make a reproduction instrument bezel for these cars anymore. So you have to send out the original to get "vacuum...
Ok so the rubber seal hides quite a bit...good to know.
To answer a couple questions:
I learned a long time ago to test fit trim before final installation. Thats why you see it in place.
And the dash is as complete of a unit as possible. Only thing missing on the top side is the dash pad...
We are getting ready to install the windshield in this 1967 Plymouth GTX convertible and wanted to verify I am not missing something here. The fit between the dash and the window pillar and the stainless trim seems excessive. Is this normal?
And wondering if there is something that covers the...
Ok thanks for all those links. I reached out to one of the sellers who seems they may have more than one piece. The rollers themselves I cant tell a difference from photos for the hardtop vs convertible....but I can say they are priced really really high considering you need 4 to do a car...
Ok thanks for those photos thats great. Much appreciated.
The adjustment hardware looks exactly the same as I see on the rear quarter window track that I already have here? The rear track has one, and from your photos this front track has two. So if I find a track I need to make sure I have...
Ok sounds good.....that will work. I know without alarms and post its all over the place I would never remember what I am doing from one day to the next.
1 Wild R/T...can you post photos of what you have? You mentioned you have them out right now. In particular the hardware that holds these in place. I assume there is an adjustment on these so I need to try and get the hardware with it at the same time.
