I have a few sets of carbs in need done. What are some recommendations for carb resto services?
I have an iron intake and carbs with a December 1970 date code.
I have five sets of carbs. The only ones with part numbers are the ones i have for sale here. They are obviously over the counter from 78,88 or 98.
What's the first five digits of the serial number? If its a Lynch Road built car, the fender tags leave about 75% of the info off the tag.
I had that happen on a T/A I had a few years back. You could see the gas dribbling into the carb when you looked down the carb with it idling.

I bought a car that didn't run. The plugs were out when I got it and after taking the carbs off and on until I rounded the fuel line fittings off...
I had problems tuning the set on my TA and it was these adjustment screws under the lead plugs that were out of whack.
For your engine I would use the yellow.

I'd take a survivor any day. A car is original once. It can be restored 1000 times.
Use a mirror under the trunk weatherstrip rail. You should be able to see it. This car sounds suspect.
