That makes sense and imagine the reason they didn't do so originally was $. It's one of those things that nobody (unless my nephew tears it down 30 years from now) would ever see, yet with the others installed w/ the tabs intact it'll be one of those weird issues I think of from time to time...
I broke one of these clips and hoping someone has a single they can spare.
These are the clips that run along the top of the windshield area and pressed in middle to spread the legs and retain. Headliner windshield trim is then secured on them.
Thanks!
Cole
yeah, that's what I thought as well! Do like the panel bond idea as no worry of overheating it welding on new ones or screwing up the powdercoating/ surrounding area. Planning on a solid driver out of it so while will never win a prize for being factory correct, hope to eliminate as many little...
Good point- found some Moser plastic axle brake line clamps though for $15 each for a plastic clamp can fashion something out of scrap sheet metal much cheaper. the base area of the tabs are still there so gives me something to work with at least.
The mounting tabs that are welded to the axle housing on my Super Bee are long gone and have had the housing powdercoated. Yes, would have been ideal to replace these prior yet not positive the guy didn't blast them into oblivion as seems uncharacteristic of me to have not repaired them before...
I don't have one available though I will be traveling to Germany in September and could potentially work something out to check it in baggage?
Flying into Hamburg then north to Luebeck for a couple of days before heading south to Adenau and then Frankfurt (work/ Nuerburgring & Oktoberfest). No...
Completely understand and hope it wasn't interpreted as being pushy. After reading all the positive feedback on this sticky, my only intent was to make sure he was aware I'd tried to reach out as look forward to becoming a member of Rob's list of happy customers soon.
That's exactly what I used on my lifts though had some Gorilla tape laying around so used that along with some hooked magnets to keep the cords from dangling. Easy to move when using the lifts and can pull them down for under car light as well. Did have to modify the plug in cable lengths to...
Thank you! It's Y2 Sunfire Yellow. Had thought about losing the vinyl at one point but hoping to keep it as original looking on the outside as I can and the top grew on me. Do have the holes for trim and while tough to spot in the photo, the roof wasn't prepped for it being a finish coat. Will...
Hey Everyone,
Been awhile since I've posted anything though slowly plugging away on my Bee and hope to have her going to enjoy by late summer.
I had to remove the vinyl top for a replacement quarter and the guy had lined up to come knock it out had a medical issue come up and is unable to...
Hello Bob,
Thanks for the reply! I'm interested, if could get a pic of the bow & how bad the rust is will run it by the paint and body guy to see what he thinks.
Hello All,
I'm looking for a pair of solid 69 Coronet fenders with little to no rust and the less dents the better. Trim line doesn't matter, prefer close to Kansas City but if willing to ship I'm willing to go that route.
Thanks!
Trying to track down my first car, a 1969 Dodge Coronet.
Car was a /6, automatic. Blue with blue interior. Was sold out of SW MO back in 2001-2002 and story I recall was it was headed to California. Car was very solid due to the 14+ coats of paint on it. Sold it with a marine 440, had green...
