    Trunk Hinges

I would guess the right should match the left. I used flanged brass bushings (hardware store) and added some quality to my 65 hinges and corrected the wear. I recall posting photos, years ago. Mike Mike

What gasket sealers does everyone like to use?

I like to use Permatex High Tack on water pump gaskets just to glue them in place. Good gaskets and clean, flat surfaces are really all you should need. I do use a little silicone sealant in the corners. Mike

    how much is this worth?

I think after you spend $100,000.00 on a restoration the car will be worth $100,000.00, maybe. Mike

HELP! Voltage regulator on dash circuit board

The capacitor is there to absorb the electrical "noise" the contacts in the voltage limiter cause during operation. So, your radio does not pick it up. From your photo I would say it will only fit in the closest slot. Mike

Why me again? Need help please!

73 heading for 74. My lower back is junk and I have 2 neck fusions but, I still spent a lot of time under the dash in the 65 Belvedere I'm building. The hand "Aurther" does restrict what I can do. As long as my hand fits handle bar grips and beer cans I can live with it! Mike

    Starting Up Long Dormant Engine

I let my 440 sit in my cold storage garage for almost 18 years. Cleaned the dual points, prelubed and filled up with fresh fuel and fired it up! I had rebuilt the six pack years earlier so the carbs were dry. Later that year, I managed to run a 12.68 quarter mile in my wagon. Now days the engine...

    66 CORONET WIPER MOUNTING

The long side of the spacer goes in the rubber, The spacer contacts the body to provide a "isolated" mount. The brass grounding strip goes against the rubber before the spacer is installed to complete the electrical path. Mike

    Fire Extinguisher placement

I recommend you run as fast as you can if the gas tank is on fire! Maybe a bracket off the seat frame? Or a bracket using the seat thru floor stud/studs? Mike

    Molded Air Cleaner Breather Hose

You may try looking at molded heater hoses. Some imports or lawn and garden equipment may also be a source. Mike

    Nutserts for firewall items

I'll bet I have 50 nutserts in my 65. Just love them! The dash top screws are now 10-32 with socket heads and with my Bondhus wrench I can easily R&R the forward dash fasteners without windshield hassles. Also hold the upper inner windshield trim, front alignment covers, radiator support seal...
