I would guess the right should match the left. I used flanged brass bushings (hardware store) and added some quality to my 65 hinges and corrected the wear. I recall posting photos, years ago.

I like to use Permatex High Tack on water pump gaskets just to glue them in place. Good gaskets and clean, flat surfaces are really all you should need. I do use a little silicone sealant in the corners.

The capacitor is there to absorb the electrical "noise" the contacts in the voltage limiter cause during operation. So, your radio does not pick it up. From your photo I would say it will only fit in the closest slot.

73 heading for 74. My lower back is junk and I have 2 neck fusions but, I still spent a lot of time under the dash in the 65 Belvedere I'm building. The hand "Aurther" does restrict what I can do. As long as my hand fits handle bar grips and beer cans I can live with it!

The long side of the spacer goes in the rubber, The spacer contacts the body to provide a "isolated" mount. The brass grounding strip goes against the rubber before the spacer is installed to complete the electrical path.

Maybe a bracket off the seat frame? Or a bracket using the seat thru floor stud/studs?

I'll bet I have 50 nutserts in my 65. Just love them! The dash top screws are now 10-32 with socket heads and with my Bondhus wrench I can easily R&R the forward dash fasteners without windshield hassles. Also hold the upper inner windshield trim, front alignment covers, radiator support seal...
