So I hit a dead end with this method. I broke the spot welds to the trunk floor extensions, removed the rear crossmember and bumper reinforcements, still no go. Then I broke the welds on the support that holds the trunk latch and the 2 taillight housing supports at the bottom so I could flex the...
Those are out but I still only have less than a 1/4" gap on the ends and the tail panel does not seem to want to flex. Do I need to break the spots from the tail panel to the trunk floor extensions?
The trunk is my super bee is shot, I have a new 1 piece pan from AMD and am unsure which route to take to replace it. I am not looking to do a full restoration, the bottom of the rear window and dutchman has some rust and probably should be replaced along with the bottoms of the quarter panels...
Need the block plate and extras, called holley to ask about buying those pieces separate and they want a fortune. Wish I could make it would as you are so close!
Hey Dave, I don't see an option to PM you, do you have the adapter rings/clutch fork pivot and starter nose boss?
Looking for a big block lakewood bellhousing for an a833, preferably with all the extras.
I am located in San Diego, can pick up anywhere in southern california or pay for shipping.
Does anyone make patch panels for 69 coronet quarters? The options I'm seeing are full AMD panels at $699 each, OER quater panel skins from classic industries for $214.99 or sherman quarter panels from summit for $242.99.
Anyone have experience with the OER panels? Pretty sure all I need is...
On my 69 the sail panels go over the headliner. Headliner was stretched over some teeth on a bracket that they sail panel went over. Front and bottom edge were double side taped to the back of the boar and the top edge was stretched over teeth and covered with the rear window trim. Not sure if...
Appreciate all the replies, I emailed dr diff about getting a thrust button and also shared the video, he agreed with everyone that has said it's fine, he said it looked normal for used green bearings.
I'm not 100% sure as I did not install them but rough guess is 4-5k miles
I did read through a number of threads but did not see any info on tolerances.
I have some new timken bearings I was going to swap to but the rear end has a trutrac diff and I do not have the axle button, tried...
How much, if any, end play should green bearings have? I noticed with the rear wheels off the ground I can rock the wheels a small bit (up/down and side to side), after pulling the axles out and putting a dial indicator on the side of the outer race I have .010" on both sides. Video below.
Verified throttle plates do open all the way. I have been working on tuning it with a wideband/data logger, it started off very rich, cruising in the mid 12s, WOT low 11s. I have the cruise up in the high 13s now and the WOT is still rich but around 11.7. Jetting is currently at 70/82 (down from...
Glad to hear the wear looks normal, what about the slop in the rotor in the video?
And not having any major issues, car runs pretty well, it just feels slower than I expected it to for the setup but this is my first big block car so maybe my expectations were too high. I expected it to spin the...
Hey guys, so I pulled the cap on my MSD distributor and the tang on the rotor is a little burnt up on one end, as are one side of all the posts in the cap. I am thinking an adjustable rotor/phasing the rotor would fix it but just wondering if it could be something else. Also, the rotor/shaft...
