Ok, here it is! 225/70r15 front and 255/60r15 rear. The stance needs to be changed.
What does FBBO think? Lower the front or lift the back. Or both???
I'm thinking pop the rear up about an inch and drop the front about a half inch.
Yea, unfortunately after looking in my fenderwell, by the time a 70 series comes out about a half inch and then goes up another inch and a half it will hit the fender curve. Therefore I went with the 60 series cause it will only go up a half inch instead of an inch and a half.
I just ordered Cooper Cobra 225/70r15 and 255/60r15. I really wanted to go 255/70 on the back but my rims won't allow for it. I'll post pics soon. Thanks to everyone for the help!
Man I love the look of that! I might copy those tire sizes! I'm wondering if you think the 255/70 will fit being that my rims are 8.5 3.75BS and yours were 7 with 3.75BS. I think they will... hopefully.
Hello all,
I'm getting new tires and I want to fit 275/60r15 but I see most people use 4.5" backspace for these. My torq thrust rims are 3.75" backspace. I have 235/60r15 right now and my measurement from the sidewall to the fender lip is about 5/8" (about a finger size gap. From the sidewall to...
Mine look the same way, although they are 25 years old! They have no dry rot and have been stored properly. The quickest fix is... hit the letters with an orbital palm sander. I did all my tires in 30 minutes. No scrubbing, no sweating, no effort.
Some before and after pics.
Do you have a close up of the rear wheels, front wheels, and a good side view of the whole car? My 65 is black also! I still need to take some pictures to post here.
Thanks guys. I do have the 14" stock rims that came on the car. It was a factory 361 car. My factory steel 14" had full size hub caps. Would dog dish work on these wheels? There is a center ring area around the outside of the lug nuts that measures about 9.5 inches.
Thanks for the advice everyone!
Does anyone know what the correct size front and rear tires would be for a mid 60's 15" factory rim b-body? F60-15, f70-15, g60-15, g70-15, or? Would it be the same all 4 or different sizes front and rear? Also white letter, red line, or?
Hi. I'm new to this forum. My dad and I bought a 65 satellite back in 1998. We fixed it all up and go to the local car shows. It's got a 426 max wedge, black paint, ramcharger hood scoop. He recently passed away and I want to put on the wheels and tires that we always wanted it to have. It...
