Only the Monroney sticker will tell for sure what it...
Remember that these are short run reproductions of basically handmade tires and they have a shelf life based on the DOT date codes.
The cost per unit is very high to produce because of the small quantities made.
The manufacturers will wait until enough tires are ordered to make production...

All car manufacturers had multiple suppliers, still do. You can find out the most common but to find out what your particular car came with would require the window sticker from your car. The build sheet would only tell you the size and whether b/w, w/w, or rwl. But not the model or width of a...

Back before OSHA in the early seventies we used Hunter on the car balancers before the computers came along. Very dangerous on used tires. You could have rocks, etc. come off at high speeds and shoot across the shop and unless you were...
It depends on what you mean by "fit". Yes it will mount up and hold air, but the designed rim width for a 235 MM section width tire is 7" and rims wider than 7" tend to be reverse offset ( Negative ) tire is pushed out of fender , more prone to rubbing.
Don't get too mad, but this is a perfect example of blaming the parts when someone didn't bother to do their homework first.
Remember the saying about measure twice, cut once. This is what they meant. Service Manuals were available long before Youtube and the internet.
Have a paint question, ask...

Good tire, Cooper also makes the same tire under the "Mickey Thompson" brand with Mickey Thompson lettering.
Look better and are more period correct. Mickey Thompson started making performance tires in the 60's and were on a lot of cars before the T/A tire was invented...
DOT date codes were not phased in until 1971.
Prior to that Goodyear used an internal code system.
In 1970-71 it had 8 digits. Like yours.
The 8 digit system from January 1970 until the mid 71 year.
After that it went to 11 digits and will have 3 numbers at the end of the DOT code.
