    Carburetor Paint Follow Up Question

I never saw a restored tractor without a painted carburetor. If you want color, have it powder coated. Paint and gasoline do not work well with each other. Mike

    Fuel pump pushrod

I have been using electric fuel pumps since the early 80s on most of my engines. The one on my 78 Chevy P/U came in extra handy when I got a load of watered gas at a local gas station. I was able in a couple of minutes to empty the tank of fowl crap and get reimbursed from the station for more...

    Noob gas tank question

Gasoline does expand quite a bit when heated. It is coming out of a underground, cool tank into ambient temperatures so maybe fill less? Mike

Holley Carb Spraying Fuel Externally ?

I had a 650 spread bore Holley on my 78 Chevy P/U spraying gas directly on the distributor probably 30 years ago. It scared the crap out of me, but I was 60 miles from home. I called around and found a used bowl at a speed shop. I drove to the shop, thinking "what could go wrong". Changed it out...

Correct 2 barrel carburetor for 1962 Plymouth Belvedere

Yes. I would recommend you reinstall the auto choke setup if the exhaust cross over is flowing properly (gets hot quickly-they can plug up with carbon if engine is burning oil). Mike

    Fuel pump

I had issues with my 65 Coronet 318, alcohol gas evaporated from the float bowl after 2 days so I used a Carter electric pump. Depending on days sitting I hold the momentary switch to a 6-8 count, pump throttle twice-slowly, and she starts right up. Mike
