Try a Gates Power Grip clamp. They are shrink material that keeps constant tension on the hose. I had a new T-stat housing, new hose, and two spring clamps and couldn't stop a leek. The Power Grip did and they give a clean look under the hood.

I remember a magazine article years ago that outlined painting a car with a roller. It turned out quite well. Good luck with the car. I too have a 65 Coronet 440 (4 DR. Sed.)

All my interior window trim was rusty/pitted/pealing so I cleaned/sanded/prepped it for paint. I had it looked at by a chrome plating shop and left after I was quoted $95.00 for EACH piece.
