HI,
your idle is too fast.. like I said earlier 650 to 750 rpm's at idle..At 850-900 your almost out of the idle circuit so the mixture screws are going to do almost nothing.. and the timing well be way off for what it should be... I've had a 516/543 lift cam in my 466 (BBF) and it idled 650-700...
Hi,
First thing I would look at would be to see if the accelerator pump is working... With the motor off look in the carb and move the accelerator linkage and see if there is a squirt of fuel on the first movement of the linkage. if no squirt then the accelerator pump is bad.
Hi,
If you don't have a pcv what kind of crank case ventilation do you have?
Without any ventilation you can blow out gaskets and oil out dip stick tube and the motor won't run very good with excess internal pressure.

Hi,
a whistle is usually a vacuum leak gasket or such.. Actually idle should be like 650 to 750 .. 900 is high unless its highly modified big cam.. 1 1/2 turns on the mixture screws is just to get it running and should be adjusted with a vacuum gauge to highest vacuum at idle.
good luck take...
HI
Well if you look close you can see white paint under where he pulled the tag from.. So It was white under the hood... as far as the red tag only the painter knows..

HI,
i took this picture an enlarged it to 340 enlargement and I think I see hints of Red bleeding thru the black on the fender by where the tag came from and on the front around the latch.. Might just be an optical illusion?? someone else try it and what do you see. It also might just be...
Thanks,..
Nice car..
Does the Vin tag give interior color?? maybe it came with Red interior that would explain the vin tag being red most of the time (I think) the under hood color matches interior color? Maybe someone/time during its refurbish the interior was changed?
good luck take care...
HHHHMMMM I don't know I'm not buying it... So they covered the crappy red paint on the vin tag and painted it a different color??? I've asked a couple of time for picture of the whole car So we can see what it really going on... and nothing.. and asking for where other ID's would be located...
Hi

Hi,

Car was running like always.. I fuel up, go 1/2 a block to store parking lot.. start it when leaving and it runs like **** Won't idle missing and such make it home buy driving in second .. found a spark plug wire lose .. pushed it back on still won't run.. So I replaced all...
HI if you are using the stock stick you should be fine.. But yes you do NOT want the crank anywhere close to the oil the amount of turbulence the crank and rods can make quite a storm in the pan. if the crank whips up the oil it well make air bubbles in the oil and won't lubricate effectively...
