so remove steering wheel, then unplug wiper and headlight switch and the speedo cable... FYI it looks screw-on, not snap on. then pull gauges forwards and unplug the rest?
Turns out Ill need to remove the instrument panel to test and maybe replace my gas gauge. So should i remove the steering column nuts that hold it to the dash and remove the speedo cable? what else is required and will the instrument panel just slip out front ways?
I think thats the problem Im having... The little clip is there but the fuel line isnt factory, its a hard metal line that screws connects to the electric fuel pump under the passenger door (67 BII) where it then turns into a rubber line that goes to the carb... So im assuming i have not enough...
I would think about replacing the crank and rod bearings also and if you could afford it, get a forged steal crank & stronger con rods & arp con rod bolt kit so you can upgrade the cam an not worry about the bottom end breaking down... makes you almost bullet proof... thats what I want to do.
Ah ok, Is there anything that needs to be moved out of the way?
Also does anyone have a picture of what the back of the cluster looks like so i can have an idea where to fish under the dash to find the old bulbs.
Well i installed the gaskets and used silicone. I think its sealing... I did smell oil burning alittle on the way home but once I was close it stopped... but lastnite it made some smoke (for 5 seconds) when i was moving my car from the street to the car port. No smoke this morning just the smell...
68 Charger, I do that now, its just a pain to have to apply so much pressure to get a seal... i dont see how that item in the link posted would help, i dont know how or where to place it.
Well my air filter is 2inch's tall by 14" wide... I still touch teh hood, the air cleaner lid is a no name brand, probably measures 3/4" tall and the base plate has a 1.25" drop to it but not enough.
Looks like I have the Hemi Pan, So 6qt's it is! If the pan is original to this engine block, does that mean its possible my RB stamped block came from a 440 magnum vehicle?
Yeah right now i have the felpro rubber infused paper gasket with orange hi-temp slicone and it leaks, fresh install too so its not old age... Today hopefully i have time to install the 100% rubber gaskets. they have these tabs that look like they hook on the outter edge of the valve cover for...
Ok i've said it before and ill say it again, I have a 1967 belvedere II with a 440 v8 and edelbrock performer rpm intake and a holley double pumper carb.
Im having trouble getting an air cleaner that fits, I already have a aircleaner base with a drop base of 1.25" made for my holley for a 14"...
