When you look to buy a turn signal switch for a 1970 road runner the ads may say "for cars with cornering lights see the other switch type". When they say "cornering light" what lights are they talking about? The side marker lights? A special turn signal on the sides?
My 70 RR brake lights are not working. I have checked the bulbs, brake switch on brake pedal, and fuses. I understand that the wiring my also route through the steering column at the turn signal switch. Why the heck would they route brake light wiring through the turn signal switch/steering...
I'm having the same issue in my 70 road runner. Why the heck would they route the brake lights wiring through the steering wheel? And how do you get the steering wheel cap off?
Thanks for all the help. I changed the starter relay switch and that was the problem (not sure if the old one was the original). Cranks like a charm now! :)
I don't know what your talking about. When I touch those two points on the starter relay I show in the picture, it cranks the car and it starts (just as if I'm turning the key).
OK, so my 70 road runner won't crank using the key. Sometimes it would when I shift the gears back and forth from park to neutral (automatic transmission) but now it only works once in a blue moon. I tried by-passing the neutral safety switch, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I can...
