Front and Rear Leaf spring hangers and shackles (unless...
Glad you dont have my disease :rolling:
For me theres always just 1 thing thats "just right" and everything else is good but not 'perfect'. I have learnt this through my years. So I would never want more than 1 car as the rest would be cool but not 'just right' and why would i go cruise out...
Well,I have figured out thesilver washer thingieis what goes on the door (the part that sits around remote inside) in that hole on interior.
I also would have asked about that extra line thats in the bad fabrication of the mirror, however I already know I can get that filed out to perfect and...
My NOS 68-Charger mirrors have arrived finally. Baught them off www.mmpar.com (AMS Obsolete)
Yes they wanted 800US for the 2, but, I'm happy with what I have received, so is Kim. It's a one off thing to buy so why not. The condition I believe is great to from them.
The first 3...
I can only tell you about what I have in my car.
1 - A key that you turn that disconects the actual power from the battery (like taking the negative off). If your car catches fire you wont be taking the negative off in engine bay and the power is what will be feeding the fire. So this key...
"Well I don`t use mild cams in anything , I carefully tailor agressive cams & proper duration profiles to get the power where I want it , this creates a very flat torque curve where you may make 400 ft lbs tq at 2400 RPM & at 5200 RPM with a gentle curve in the middle peaking at 460 ft lbs at...
Well I got a 4 speed A833 now and plan to run a 6 in it later so that I can still get decent cruising rpms (1800-2000) while making the 1st 4 for serious acceleration.
this is a quick 1...
600 torque at 3000 rpm vs 600 torque at 6000 rpm. Will both be accelerating identical speed? Or will...
The answeres I got on the 472-528 hemi braught up a question (would like to understand this for learning sake).
2 identical cars (for comparison sake)
Car 1: 500 HP and 600 ft/lbs torque.
Car 2 : 500 ft/lbs torque and 600 HP
Car 1 wins the race right?
Car 1: 600...
Thanks Runner. Guess I wont waste a phone call to him then.
Im after the most "average" torque, so when you nail it, the 1 with the most average torque will be the quickest and thats what I am after. I also wanna run Dominators.
Thanks meep also. :)
I got a guy that really knows how to tune dominators and they end up as efficient as HP Holleys and have more "responsiveness" and better air flow than the HP's (according to him which is true as ive known him for a while to know what he does works as he says)
He hasnt got toomuch...
Thanks for that
So basically all Hemis will have an excellent tq curve, wont just have peak but a very high average also.
Well going with 550 horsepower and 650+ tq. If a 426 hemi made 550, 472 made 550, 499 made 550, 477 made 550, 528 made 550, would the 528 still make more torque being...
Im going to run around 11:1 compression since we have 98 octane gas in australia basicaly everywhere. Would there be any difference between the 2 at 550hp or not and therefor may aswell go with the best looking setup.
After hearing Holley are going Bankrupt, i wanted to purchase some carburettors to be prepared for when I get myself a Hemi. If they dont sell them anymore I want to have them, if another company takes over, I want brand new out of the box real deal holleys.
Basicaly here is whats...
I found some mickey Thomspon Bias-Ply tires (sportsman Pro). They have a 8/32 Tread depth (just like Hoosiers pro-street radials) but they run a drag Compound. Will those Bias-Ply tires hook better than a radial being made of a drag compound?
Why or why not go Bias Ply?
Ok guys. I have been in my friends 70 Charger RT/SE car 440six.
Stock front and rear sway bar (what size would that be?)
The SS springs are far from Harsh. So I will purchase SS springs for my car. They will be good for drag which I want and feel hard which...
The biggest is 1.22" T-bars, 1.25" front sway bar, 1.0" rear sway bar (is the rear neccessary? I seriously would rather go without since it looks messy to me but il put it in if its a need/must)
When i said optimum drag (losing everyone) I meant on the street. Meaning, dont make it...
No i havent made my mind up... i thought that would have been clear from the hundred messages lol. Well I will have a starting point to go off. Friend has a 70 Charger, Super stock springs (8 right 6 left) front and rear sway bar. Just gotta ask what size T-bars he has and go for a drive...
ok spanner in the works guys
A guy running a 350ci chev down here in an old Holden Torana. Standing quarter mile is in the 9's and he runs sway bars front and back and massive torsion bars + bilstein shocks. The car will handle corners all day long and still runs 9s.
I understand that rear...
Its a 68 charger with a 4 speed manual. Super stock springs are shorter than normal ones?
I am g etting 2-3 added leafs to the original leafs from a professional suspension shop that will get them to make the car 'squat down' under acceleration (i guess this is good for what im after?)...
