Yeah, it was early this morning and apparently I wasn’t awake! .030 seems about right. Now I’ll have to go through my pile of trim with the calipers!! All this for a vinyl top, lol.
.540” - .5095” = .305 which is well over 1/4” difference which seems excessive. What’s the thickness of the vinyl top material? I’m assuming coverage over the seams would require that much extra width?

In my experience, the interior hinge bolts adjust “twist” of the door, the door hinge bolts under the fender adjust vertical and the top and bottom of the door in and out. I adjusted mine without the door striker in place. It seemed to make it much easier.
I did my first one myself 30 years ago with silica sand in a pot blaster for about $75. I’m looking to do another one and just trying to find the best option.

The PDR is worth a shot. We have two very talented ones up here. They’re expensive and worth it. I had a couple of dents taken out of my wife’s beater Pontiac and one out of her new Hellcat. You couldn’t tell where they were on either car. I’ve seen more hacks in the paint and body trade than PDR.
I can relate. I did the same thing as well last fall. It cracked the paint in one area and I haven’t even taken it to anyone yet... made me sick for sure!
