Seriously, multiple millions of cars were built this way. Jeez, GM put the coil in the distributor cap in the HEI distributors, most of them between the air cleaner and firewall where they baked in the heat....yet they survived. Back then, the parts had to at least survive the warranty period...

I was a loyal Dewalt customer. But I do think Milwaukee has passed them on quality. And if you're patent? You can catch better and more frequent deals than Dewalt.

Just as many cars put the ign coils on the f'wall or inner fender away from heat, may have needed longer wires [ more cost? ]....but still did it.
