A valve seat fell out of the old Stealths, killed the valves, destroyed the heads and pistons last fall. We are almost back together with a sleeve, new pistons and new intake.

True story. I worked at an automotive machine shop, "Dennis" was dressing an engine, he broke off a bolt in the block and then broke off a tap in the block! Boss comes over says "I thought we agreed YOU SUCK AT THIS"! Boss goes and gets a diamond edge drill bit and drills out the tap, saves the day.

I was thinking up to 1988/89 5th ave new yorker 318 . As I recall reports of 26 mpg highway . think they had 2.22 or 2.45 gear ratio ???

How/where was it cut up?

Original air cleaner bass for a 340 six pack. Might fit a 440? was cut up in the 70’s or 80’s by a previous owner. Why? No idea. Don’t know what to price it at. So let’s say $400 obo buyer pays shipping.

Pile of parts. I was going to take apart all the lifters and soak them in mineral spirits. I'm waiting on a new pressure washer to clean off the block and transmission. I have several parts ordered including a new oil pump and pickup. Pump was well grooved and pickup was full of trash.

It probably is me; I guess I should have never tried to put one of these mini starters in. I wanted to put a new starter instead of another rebuild that might fail in a few months like the one that was in the car.

Pre 1973 is best.
