Hey thank you for those. I haven't seen the 66 Belvedere before. The rust is a concern but otherwise, that is the type of car I would be after.
I'm not in a rush but looking for the right car. I may end up rebuilding one of my own cars. We will see.
TY
If u do the aluminum heads you will also solve the leaded gas problem. Back in the day we had leaded gas, today no lead means the exhaust valves run hotter and will recede into the head or even burn. Later engines used hardened valves to solve this problem, and modern aluminum heads do also...
...this engine to a 383/439(ish) stroker with this block but the car is numbers matching so I'm still on the fence about that. Part of me says f*ck it and just do it. The other part says "keep that engine as-is and drop a built 440 into it".

I was thinking the same. Good for open roads, but not the best in hill country. Slant or 318.
Not the best for mileage mid teens at best. This is also depends on where and the type of driving conditions. Flat ? hills ? round town ? highway ? Many variables.
I believe you have suggested that to me before and totally forgot about it. One question and I may have asked it already but why are the part numbers differently?
AMS Osolete part number search for 3837079 shows they have at least one in stock.
You can send them an email, but follow up in the morning by telephone.
