I have this single snorkel air cleaner that came off a 1973 Chrysler New Yorker with a 440 engine and 4bbl. carburetor.
Diameter for the carburetor is 5" inches.
Air cleaner isn't rusted, or smashed, dented in, but yes it needs to be stripped down, painted, or even use as is.

Sh!t, for me the cable was the easy part. My battery cable should have been changed anyway, so I bought a new longer cable and cut it to length. The smaller wire was long enough; it was just the battery cable I had to change. I don't know why, but I just cannot use these mini starters.
you have obviously done this awhile and this is my first restoration I'm doing. Can you tell me what finish I need to use to mimic the factory for my hood latch assembly?

The doggone body shop lost one of mine. Why did they take it off? Danged if I know. They could've just loosened up the one nut and pulled the vent frame out.

I put a mark on your image for the problem I'm having. The gear only goes up to the blue mark but needs to go to the inside edge of the nose. I'm gonna have to go back to the heavier OE style starter. Just my luck.
