A buddy built a 440 for his Bee. He used a Comp HFT that was pretty mild and had great street manners. He had some ported 904's, roller rockers, headers and a old Edelbrock dual plane intake. It dynoed right at 500 horse and almost as much torque. I'll see if I can find the specs and post them.
My 440 GTX was owned by the local Plymouth dealer for 15 years, and he modified the cam, but not in the usual way. He replaced the stock high performance 268/284 unit with the milder cam used in non Road Runner 383 four barrel cars, and 440 powered station wagons, which were rated at 350...
It looks great. No one will notice any seams anyway - they'll just see a brightly lit, well appointed garage/ work shop and enjoy all the cars and tools. (At least I would.)
Plenty of F/M/J body cars out there CHEAP right now.
That fits with easy to work on and perhaps acceptable MPG.
Should be able to get high teens/low 20's average.

Interesting, I won't be driving in the winter with my AAR but good know, they do offer the lifetime warranty but to remove and getting them there is half the problem.
I didn’t take “step by step” photos of my last dash swap. There really isn’t much to it. Strip the dash frame, break the bolts loose from underneath with vice grips and back them out enough to get a wrench on the bolt head from above. Comes right out.
You are often much further ahead to have the pros do it. Late model exhaust studs breaking were a big issue a few years back. A fellow with a portable tig welder would come to your shop for extraction. Even the ones broken off below the surface he could get. He would weld a puddle onto the stud...
