No. No other numbers. Engine is installed, difficult to look behind 2 1/4" tubes, but no stamped numbers on passenger side, just the engine part number and a 1. Day shift. No numbers by either one of the oil pressure ports.
So someone pointed out in here that I didn’t even purchase the correct headers. The ones I purchased won’t work with power steering. I am keeping my stock exhaust manifolds. To your point my engine is mostly stock. I thought I was doing something the simple way until I posted this thread. Always...
I didn’t have to massage my tunnel much on my 69 rr for the GV overdrive. I only use it after drive, not between gears. I’ve got 3.54 gears, and the GV drops the rpm’s quite a bit. I mounted the switch on my shifter, so it’s very convenient. It shifts very hard. If you’re not under load and...
Brandy will make you sweat it out. LOL Zinc supplements help shorten the duration if taken within 24 hours. About all you can do is treat the symptoms and make yourself more comfortable. It's a virus and your body just has to fight it to get over it.
Great. Thanks guys. My ‘71 383/727B Roadrunner was built in Nov. of ‘70. There’s no reason why these wouldn’t have been there originally? Right? I guess they get painted hemi orange as well? By the way, these are the only ones I see for that engine, can someone confirm that?
Thanks again.
I ran the XE274 hydraulic cam in an 8.5-1 440 (sitting on the floor waiting for me to decide what to do with it)and it did fine. Withe the smaller of the cams you mentioned 8.95-1 is fine and the solid lifter cam should make more power. I am sure it would run fine with the 915 heads but I bet it...
After gentle break in, there were a few surprises. Usually in traffic, or a little late under a caution. Be careful not to knee jerk anything like you would in the old or other car. Never owned anything that is so willing to lay rubber down at 45-50 MPH. Gotta pay attention, or be...
Yes, I have seen that one, and it is a nice car with a good price, but I want to real 1968 WM21 Super Bee if at all possible. If it proves impossible, I might go for a different model of 68 Coronet or even a 69 Super Bee. I have only been looking for a couple of months, so I am good to hang on...
My understanding is if you have roller lifters you don’t need the zinc and the 30 minute breaking period for the cam at 2000 rpm.
You have a flat tappet cam so I would think you did need that rotella and 30 minute cam/lifter period.
My engine builder is using and recommended Rotella for...
When disassembling my transmission I noticed something missing.
There is supposed to be a spring on the plunger located on the right according to the video I am watching but mine did not have a spring there?
I have the tranny on a table and don't believe the spring fell out. Searched high and...
