Any benefit to a tubular K-frame that retains T-bars ?

I have a QA1 Tubular K member in my '67 Barracuda that I drag race. I like it because it leaves plenty of room to install and remove my engine diaper. there is also a lot of room to drop the oil pan if needed. Weight savings was not a selling point for me. Just easier access and serviceability.

That color is beautiful and makes that body style look even cooler. What power train are you putting into that beast?

Putting highway gears behind a high stall

3.23 and a 2800 converter - just run it the way it is. I dont think it is worth changing up for a long highway trip. If you currently had 4.10's it might be worth putting in a different gear set for a trip, but not 3.23s.

    What is this light?

    That's it! Thank you.

    What is this light?

Guys, I appreciate the responses. The orange wire feeding it sure makes it look factory. It appears to have a screw hole for mounting it somewhere, and when that housing is grounded, the light comes on with the dash lights. I will poke around in the ash tray area.......

    What is this light?

I was under the dash today in my '66 Belvedere wagon replacing some gauge cluster bulbs. While under there, I noticed this little light hanging down near the ignition key / ash tray area. It wasnt attached to anything, just hanging in the breeze. Anyone recognize what it is for? The length of...

    Roller rocker bar type?

This. Even my nice, Harland Sharp rockers (with needle bearings) have put wear marks onto the nice shafts they sell with the rockers. 2 seasons, maybe 50 or 60 1/4 mile passes, and about 2,000 street miles. I went bushed on my stroker build because of this.

    1966 Belvedere Wagon Rear Bumper

I ordered a fiberglass rear bumper from Larry @ Sled City. He has made a couple, so he has a mold. Can anyone show me what the rear bumper brackets look like? I'm not sure what is on my car since a previous owner had installed a sedan rear bumper on it and flame-cut holes for the hinges.

    SCORE !!!

Understood - sounds like they are similar to the Hookers in that price range then. Thank you.

I know this thread is over a year old now - but did you end up installing the Summit headers into your car? How much hammer work do they require?

    New carburetor prices are high.

I just spent $10 a quart on some Valvoline VR1 at walmart. Also, $11 on a container of moist hand wipes for the racecar supply bin. EVERYTHING is over priced and has been since 2020. Then, to add insult to injury, I go through the self checkout and provide free labor for the store. I'm...

Harmonic balancers "slipping". How many have you seen on SB/ BB mopars?

I have never seen one. What I have seen on alot of old small blocks is the nylon cam gears that some years had be worn out and have lots of timing chain slack, which messes with the engine timing.

WTB Wanted: 1966 Plymouth Belvedere Wagon Rear Bumper

I was wondering if the Coronet was the same. I know finding a wagon rear bumper is a long shot. I might just fabricate a gasser style custom bumper for it over the winter.

WTB Wanted: 1966 Plymouth Belvedere Wagon Rear Bumper

Looking for a Rear Bumper for my '66 Belvedere Wagon. The wagon bumper is not the same as a sedan, as they had to accommodate for the tailgate hinges. Pitted and nasty chrome and small dings ok. Car is a ratty street / strip machine. Also would buy a front bumper if you had one. I'm in Indiana...

Do your cars have a names?

My Cuda was nicknamed named "Calico Cuda" by the track announcer at Pueblo Motorsports Park a couple years ago during Rocky Mountain Race week. He was busting my balls over the PA system for it being multi-colored! My wife liked the name, so we stuck the name on the trunk panel!
