Its clear you never messed with a victor type head and a fast 2.0 distributor , heads are not the same !, fast dist. is short , puts the actual dist housing at the same height of the corner of the "UNMACHUNED" victor head ...!

to those that think you need a special bolt or the overlapping lock stitch ...not so , reg grade 3 cheap 1/4x20 bolts about 1/2'' long work well , 14 yrs as a race engine dont lie... still working ...

just match your new convertors stall speed to your cam , And I agree, Hughs convertors are pretty good for an off the shelf piece...
