Took a drive in my 65 Belvedere today and backed out of a parking spot that was on a hill. Brakes made a terrible grinding noise that I have never had before. Sounded like metal on metal. Drove home and brakes were fine going forward but grind in reverse when I checked it when I got home.

I was under my car today cleaning things up to try and locate a significant transmission leak but I noticed that the neutral safety switch (single pin) didn’t have a wire to it. I found this diagram on this page for the starter relay.
The wire off the post that is supposed to go the the NSS...
I am still putting my car back together after my old fan went into the radiator and bent the blades over. Looks like it happened due to a broken radiator bracket. I ordered the Hayden 2947 clutch and it is going to buy me some extra space. I mounted my new fan tot he clutch and noticed that...
The more I dig the more i find. I have to figure out which cable this is but is this something I can patch or am I looking at a replacement?
My goal at the moment was to locate a transmission fluid leak. The car is out of commission until I get the new water pump in but would fluid run up...
Well I thought I got the correct replacement water pump from gates to replace the one on a 65 426. I ordered gates 42032 but the number of fins and fin direction.

This is on a 65 426 wedge.
I pulled the water pump off of my 65 Belvedere because one of the pulley bolt hole threads is messed up and I had another water pump sitting on the shelf. Which water pump is correct for 65?
2848290 or 3671083.
3671083 is the one I pulled off and has the messed up bolt hole threads. The...
Thanks for adding me to the group.
I inherited my 65 from my dad who bought it new in 65. It has the original 426 in it and is mostly original with just a few things replaced to clean it up.
The fury is going to be my nephews.
I unfortunately had the fan hit my radiator and I have been having issues finding a replacement. I have found an aluminum replacement that is close but my radiator has 1.5” in and out while most of the radiators have 1.75” outlet. Any advise?
I also haven’t figured out why it hit yet. My...
