I need to go to the well here once again from guys I trust. During the planning stages of the blown hemi '41 Dodge COE hauler for the Willys. We are kicking around what trans to use. I am partial to Allison. 3K, 4K or CNG transmission. CPI is talking about using a GM 4L80. I have a huge dislike...
I have a 2016 Ram with a 6.4L. I am unbelievably unhappy with the tune/performance of the stock set-up. My question is; how strong do you think the bottom end is in this engine. I'm thinking Kenne Belle with about 6# boost and related upgrades and tune. Any input is appreciated.
thanks,
Mike
Finished up the install of the crossram in the '64 yesterday and I want to throw this out there as a refresher for me.
I am still struggling with getting it to idle below 1200 without oscillation. in other words, the engine will idle up then down, back and forth between ~1300 and 900 rpm...
Received my Carry Permit today in the mail!!! Surprisingly quick!! Finger prints and paper work 7 short weeks ago!!! Was sure I read somewhere that Ohio issued something like 72,000 last year!! Don't know what Indiana was, but I do know applications are tracking significantly higher in most...
I did a search and found nothing however; I seem to recall a thread/post talking about not using and MSD 6AL with a stock Mopar Electronic Dist?? Anyone see a down side to doing this. I have upgraded to a Blaster2 coil. I can run an MSD dist but would rather stay with the Mopar piece for the...
Well; I was encouraged by one on the staff members to start this thread. It's not a direct Mopar, maybe considered an earlier generation distant relative. Wilys=Jeep=Mopar??? We'll see if the Moderators come up for air... Lol. This info was buried in one of my other threads, so we'll post new...
In this currently exciting, flip-floping political season, (sarcasm) I've decided to join in; executing my own flip-flop by putting the Crossram back in the '64. Spent the past winter walking past that thing setting on the engine cradle, every time I went into the shop thinking, what the heck...
Was at the Dodge-Garage picking up my truck and these were on the floor. Both 2016, both $44K. Scat pack 6.4 SRT Charger or a Tin Can with Big knobby tires... (Is my bias showing???)
A older friend of mine came up from Indy last week to have Thanksgiving dinner with DW and I. While he was reminiscing and telling stories about the Golden Age of Indy, Dan Gurney's name came up (Gordon knew him and about a dozen other Drivers, Owners and Engineers). Yesterday, while flipping...
I have a few questions, but first the story....
I knew I was running on borrowed time with the ammeter set up in the '64 after i added all the electrical draw devices. Two rad. fans, One trans cooler fan, Electric fuel pump, EFI ECU, MSD... and so on. Had a factory rated 45A alternator...
I've seen two different ways to install the evac nipples in the collectors. Which is correct and why?

Took the '64 for it's first run yesterday down to a friends about 4 miles away.
I'd been up and down the drive a couple times to check the brakes and see how it behaved.
DW is sitting on a lawn chair cushion holding the iPad. Safety First!! LOL!! The car was a little cold and stumbled a...
Gonna post this question here because searches turned up nothing here or the other forums. Pretty narrow question, but lets see who's out there. :-) finishing the tie up on the electrical side if the Ignition Circuit for the ECU on a Holley Dominator EFI with an Aeromotive Fuel Pump...
Had some issues with their poly loc mounts. Sent them the following email and Picts. Why post here too? Never been a big fan of theirs; mostly due to out of stock parts but also the concept of bolting brackets to brackets in order to get stuff to work.
I know some guys like their stuff...
I am looking for the over center spring for the park lever on the push button shifter. I will buy the entire shifter if necessary but only need the spring.
I'll throw this here because it's really more a question to see how others have mounted. Using the Universal system as a starting point.

already installed the sump in the tank and ordered extra fittings...
I searched the 62-65 thread for input on this. Nothing that I saw. Anybody have an opinion on preferred vendor for solid Motor Mounts. Going to a Blown Injected Hemi in the '64. I doubt the rubber ones will live.
