I have full roller cam 900lbs spring pressure,700 lift, I broke 3 mopar/crane rockers so I switched to Harland sharp. Nice parts, had to trim rocker to clear valve cover. None broke yet. You have to match rockers to your heads, different offsets.

I have mildon oil pump and 2 #12 pickups and do not have a priming issue even with vr1 50w oil, I have let car sit for 2-3 months and not a priming issue over 6 months ill prime because I usually pull pan to remove water/alky from pan because oil floats on water.
I would dump that 440 source...
if it is race only then, i would pull it apart fix what broke and roll with it.
what rods were u using. i had a set of brooks al rods in motor and didn't realize that al rods need to be un torqued at end of each season. 3 passes till i notices crazy numbers on my oil pressure.

sound seems to be off, you will know when its right.
it fell flat on face when u hit throttle. sounds like the carb is off, how is the temp?
may be lean.
how is oil pressure?
what mods did u do to engine?

get hex shaft
put on drill and rotate counter clockwise
check for oil pressure .
my race motor has to be primed if sitting for a few months, 2 line mildon pick up 50w oil
if you changed the gasket did you install the correct gasket?
DON NOT RUN MOTOR WITHOUT OIL...
I would pull a few rod and main caps and inspect bearing. I f any trash the break engine down and clean reassemble.
I would check valve train components for wear, new set of smith pushrods check alignment!!
